Hi,

Interesting discussion...Palestinian/Jewish influences mentioned but where is the recognition of Russia's influence upon the motivations/positions and talking points of at least three of the individuals mentioned repeatedly across this discussion...unrealistic expectations of viewer perhaps but this problem is as significant an influence in your area of interest as it is anywhere and not just to foreign observers

Andrew,

You and Keith definitely missed the big tech news of the week. In my opinion, it was DeepMind's AlphaProof. Here's one of many articles on this, https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/25/science/ai-math-alphaproof-deepmind.html.

Gary Marcus has been relentlessly saying that LLMs don't actually know things. I am sure he's right about that. But, AlphaProof, like AlphaFold before it, looks to be extremely useful.

AlphaFold is a tipping point in humanity's understanding of protein structure and function. AlphaProof probably is not nearly that important, but it's very cool.

Andrew, the correct pronunciation of Kamela Harris's first name is KOMM-ih-luh, which rhymes with BOMB-ih-luh. Here's audio of her speaking her own name: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/c/c6/Kamala-Devi-Harris-pronunciation.oga/Kamala-Devi-Harris-pronunciation.oga.mp3
